I had been waiting for so long to go to London, and as most of you know if you have me on social media already, I FINALLY got to visit this incredible place a few days ago before moving into the University of Essex. It was completely and absolutely majestical.
I had the privilege of getting a nice tour of Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, the famous Anchor Pub, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, and of course the Big Ben. What made the first visit even more memorable was the fact that I was not only enjoying it with my boyfriend, Tanner, but I got the personalized London tour from my dad and stepmom, whom I haven’t seen in 16 years. Obviously, it was quite an amazing time.
FUN FACT: THE QUEEN WAS HOME WHEN WE WENT TO BUCKINGHAM PALACE! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
London is literally everything one imagines it to be. The pub life is amazing, everyone seems to always be dressed fashionably and uniquely, and multitudes of professional individuals in suits are always rushing to get the Underground. Additionally, I’ve decided that there are more signs advertising fish and chips than there are the Queen.
Behold! The famous fish and chips! 😀
I absolutely hate beer, but Tanner gave these Stella’s a thumbs up.
Then afterwards, we just haaaaaaaad to go to Nando’s…because…well…Nando’s.
After seeing the Big Ben in real life, I think I’m more obsessed with it than I was before.
Needless to say, one simply cannot visit everything in London in one day, so after Welcome Week at our university, we are planning on doing a second trip into the city to take over Regent and Oxford Street.
I made a friend in Hyde park 🙂
So, definitely stay tuned for a university related post and our second trip to London post. 🙂
