I don’t ever try new clothing trends… or at least I don’t ever try them while they’re fresh. I always feel compelled to buy the same clothes that I see on models or fashionable friends at school, because everyone seems to always be looking snazzy around me. I then naturally get inspired to also make the same fashion choices as them. However, at the end of the day, I don’t really like looking like everyone else around me. Although, something that I have seriously been eyeing lately is the trend involving converse and business pants, or trousers, as some may call them. I am absolutely in love with this trend. I believe that it’s been around for a while, especially in the 90s, but it’s just now starting to take over my university campus and my social media timelines. I’ve actually decided to break my trend rule in 2018 and stick to anything involving converse and cute trousers.
I believe that I had completely forgotten about my yellow pants until this year’s new burst of inspiration. I think that I bought them from Ross about 3 years ago? I love how easy it is to style them! All I had to do was put on a simple, black turtleneck and add my favorite shoes…my converse. It’s quite a different look for me, since my crazy aesthetic mainly involves my preppy loafers, dresses, business clothes, and a bit of the occasional boho look. I’m loving the freshness of it all.
Also, I want to give a shoutout to one of my best friends, Brit Ferris, for taking these beautiful photos of me the other day. ♥
What are some trends that you’ve enjoyed in 2017 or 2018 so far? As always, thank you for reading!
