It’s finally winter ! My university’s campus looks incredible covered in white, and I genuinely feel like I live in a snow globe every time there’s a new snowfall. I couldn’t be more excited to see the massive amounts of beautiful snow and get to enjoy my favorite season once again. Also, my favorite clothes reside in my winter wardrobe, so I’m pretty excited to wear those again! Scroll below to see some gorgeous shots of NAU from this past week.
A little over a month ago I visited NYC for the first time. I cannot explain to you all what a dream come true the whole experience was for me. Not only did NYC match everything I ever saw in some of my favorite movies, but the people and architecture were ten times better in person. For as long as I can remember I dreamed of walking around in Brooklyn, visiting the places where those iconic Gossip Girl scenes were filmed, and pretending like I owned an apartment in the heart of Manhattan. Overall, after just this one time visiting, it’s pretty much a given that I will live there one day.
This past weekend I took a much needed trip away from Flagstaff. The destination? Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Okay, so maybe not the real Hogwarts, but a girl can pretend, right?
If you know me, then you should already know that I am a complete sucker for anything aesthetically pleasing, especially if it has to do with Fall. For as long as I can remember, Fall has been my favorite season. Everything old is essentially dying and starting to fall off of trees (and my worrisome mind) , and the leaves changing really signify new beginnings for me each year. Thus, to celebrate this new season in my life, I went to the prettiest pumpkin patch in Flagstaff, Viola’s, with some great company.
I think there’s a general consensus with college students that 8am’s, pop quizzes, and boring lecturers are the worst things that can happen to us besides our massive debt amounts.
I’ve been in the U.K. for the past month and a half visiting my dad, and I’ve been slowly but surely getting the rest of my London bucket list done. One of the places I’ve been DYING to visit for years was Élan Cafe. It absolutely did not disappoint. Have you seen a more gorgeous place?!
I have struggled with cystic acne from about the age of 11, which many people still can’t believe, and I’ve tried hundreds of dollars worth of products since that terrible stage of life hit me. You name it, I’ve tried it. I have been struggling less and less with acne as the years went on, so I thought it would be a good idea to show you all what I’ve been using since I got some questions from friends (who have seen me at my worst stages) on how I got everything cleared up.
I recently went on a very fun, adult-like trip to Las Vegas with my best friends, and we ended up stopping at the Seven Magic Mountains on the way back. I’ve had this place on my bucket list forever. I was so happy to go visit it, especially with some of the best gals I know.
Yusha is one of my most unique friends. Not only is she from China, but she is one of the most pleasant, stylishly chic, and intelligent people that I’ve met so far in my life.
I met Warren Buffett.
This past month I had the opportunity, alongside 19 other students from the W.A. Franke College of Business, to go on the trip of a lifetime. After an intense interview process, with an upwards of 200 applications, we were the ones that were selected to go and essentially shadow Warren Buffett and his teams from Berkshire Hathaway organizations. We flew to Omaha, Nebraska, and I had the opportunity to not only visit with Mr. Warren himself ( please read further to hear the crazy story of how THAT happened lol), but also got to visit and tour Oriental Trading Company, Borsheims Fine Jewelry, and The Nebraska Furniture Mart. This was probably the most iconic experience of my whole business undergraduate degree. I think I’ve officially peaked.
