Thoughts at 22: The Most Disorganized Blog Post I’ve Ever Written.

I have about 1.5 more months and I’ll be 23. To me, that’s a very shocking and weird sentence to write. I guess 22 can be classified as one of the best and scariest years of my life. I graduated college, but that almost doesn’t even feel like a full accomplishment to me, because I always knew I’d work hard and graduate college. I got an amazing job, and the process was crazy and ugly and great in many ways, but I always knew I’d get a job. There wasn’t another option. Well there was…I thought I was going to be getting my MBA right after graduation. That didn’t happen right away, and I had to adapt again. If you know me, you know I adapt very well but get quite annoyed when it comes to things getting out of my perfect plan for “success”. I guess the overall reason I’m writing this blog post today is because I feel very overwhelmed, thankful, and freaked out about where I’m at in life, and I just need to clear my head.

How I got Rid of My Cystic Acne

So if I could sum up my biggest confidence killer (besides body hair) it would have to be acne. I’m not talking about the occasional, hormonal chin zit. I’m talking about the type of acne (and acne scarring-which I’ll write about in a later post) that ruins all your hopes and dreams and makes you remove the mirrors in your home. That essentially describes my experience with acne from 5th grade all the way to freshman and sophomore year of high school! I did so many things wrong to my face in order to get rid of that acne, and I actually have ice-pick scars from the whole experience. However, I can say that I rarely get a zit now. The most I’ll have is 2 or 3 pimples or some discoloration during hormonal periods of the month. Here is what I did to get to this clear skin stage:

NYC, I love you.

So I recently (and impulsively) travelled to NYC in order to avoid all of my problems. Sound familiar? Good. This is what I normally do when something crazy occurs in my life and disturbs my routine…such as my college graduation that happened May 2019.

Salvation Mountain.

So a while back this year I visited Salvation Mountain, and if you don’t know what that is, that’s totally okay since not many have heard of this work of art. It was a very wacky, very fun, and very inspirational experience to visit this mountain that was essentially located in the middle of nowhere. Check out the pics and video in this post to see more!

San Diego Adventures

So March was a very hectic, exciting month for me! I feel like every weekend I was doing something crazy. For example, during my Spring Break, instead of sleeping and doing nothing like I usually do, I ended up spending a few days in Phoenix and then attended the ABSEL Conference in San Diego. I actually presented two of my research papers that were accepted to be published, and learned a lot about myself in the process.

Midterms Made Me Jump Out of a Plane

Hello everyone! Since it’s midterm season, I just wanted to reminisce on the fact that last year, during the same time of the year, I threw myself out of a plane due to the copious amount of stress I was feeling.

Face Oils- Are they even worth it?

Hello again everyone! This blog post is dedicated to more skincare routine things-because that is what I keep getting asked about by my friends and readers. Specifically, I am going to tell you exactly what I use in terms of face oils, how I use them, and what I use to apply them to my face.

San Francisco Adventures

During the last month of 2018, I was lucky enough to visit SF with my brother and my boyfriend. I had been just once before, but this trip was easily my favorite. We visited Chinatown, the Painted Ladies, Pier 39, the famous Golden Gate Bridge, Mr. Holmes Bakery, and even the Mrs. Doubtfire house! Needless to say, there were plenty of photo opportunities, and I even got to see an old friend , Yonni, while we were there!

My Favorite Hikes in AZ

At this point, I think everyone knows that I am a lover of nature. I think this has always been an evident quality of mine, but I actually have to thank my good friend Mia Pique for really bringing out this part of me back in 2015. She forced me to join hiking club my freshman year of college, and after my first adventure with that club, I can truly say my love for hiking was born. Thus, I have decided to make this blog post with my absolute favorite hikes in Arizona. Feel free to leave comments of your favorite as well!

If you’ve read my blog before, or follow me on Instagram, you know that I love to spend any of my remaining dollars on aesthetically-pleasing food or coffee places. Why do I do this? As a business major, the one thing I truly learned in college is how much passion, hard-work, and creativity goes into opening your own business. Thus, if I’m going to spend any money and add to the consumerism mania happening in America, I’m going to drop my money on a small business or one that tries to differentiate themselves in all the best, possible ways. Teaspressa definitely qualifies as one such business.
